Review
Over the years a number of people have asked me 'How can you believe in an all loving God when the Old Testament is full of such horrible stories?' This question is essentially based on the idea that God's essential characteristic is His Love for us. Personally I believe God's essential characteristic is His Holiness. By Holiness I mean His otherworldness and separateness. All of God's other characteristics need to be viewed through the lense of God's Holiness.
